Heineken has sponsored the printing and distribution of 80,000 training cards to raise awareness of the PASS proof of age scheme to retailers across the UK. Cards will distributed to training providers, licensees, pub companies and security firms supplying door supervisors within the late night sector.

Association of British Bookmakers Senior Executive Tom Kenny has been appointed a Director of the Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS), the national accreditation system for proof-of-age card schemes. The distinctive PASS hologram is carried by all PASS-accredited cards as the hallmark of a genuine proof-of-age card.

Embargoed until Monday 22nd November Research released by PASS, the UK’s national proof of age scheme, shows that Britain’s pubs are turning away people over legal drinking age in confusion over what are acceptable forms of proof of age.
Young people can get hold of PASS accredited cards from a number of the card issuers.All cards that are PASS accredited carry the distinctive PASS logo in a hologram.
